If my lungs were still able
to withstand the strain, I
would celebrate this tenth
anniversary at Witch’s Rock
with my friend whose mind’s
last screw is about to fall out.
A skiff would carry us to the
clear blue water of her cauldron.
In her shadow we would spend
the day in damp, green
houses; Christlike walking on water
until our legs collapsed with
exhaustion.
