CUSTOM-BUILT SITES SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZED

Optimizing pages in heavy traffic
Most people would like to see their website positioned as high as possible in the major search engine listings. A few years ago this was not difficult to achieve. Welcome to the 21st century and a very congested Internet. What to do about it?

Lists of relevant “key words” are coded into the web pages. An optimized page discusses or mentions these key words, the more frequently the better. Pages also need titles and a coded page description that amplify these themes. Wordrunner uses an analytical software to make recommendations (e.g., changes to text).

Too many Flash pages or animations will be a detriment to a high search engine rating. The more text, the fewer graphics, the better your site's chances to be “googled” sooner than later.

Probably the most useful way to optimize a website is to include links to other sites, and to have them, in turn, linked to yours. This not only impacts the search engine process, but potentially lures surfers to your site.

Search engine submission
After your website is fine-tuned and launched it will be submitted to major search engines and others that may be relevant — but not to hundreds or thousands of them (which would do little more than flood your email with unwonted solicitations). It will take 2 or 3 months after submission for your pages to appear when searched; that's how busy the Internet is.

Subsequent periodic re-submissions can be arranged for a small fee ($40 per year).
